Tribe of Locaflores
Did you know that nearly 75% of cut flowers are imported from outside the US (mostly from South America) and coated with chemicals for a longer shelf life? By buying local flowers, you are helping the planet. We grow seasonal flowers organically and locally. There are so many beautiful types of plants grown locally, that you won’t even miss those red roses on Valentine’s Day!

Community Outreach
Knowing the limited job prospects for people with disabilities, our farm supports programs that help train and find jobs for people who may need extra help to join the workforce. We have set up a garden at Interlake High School in Bellevue, where students learn to plant, tend the garden, harvest, and assemble our special flower delivery boxes. Unfortunately, because of Covid19 this program, and plans for other partnerships, have been put on hold until we can safely work with the community again. We can’t wait to get back to working we these amazing students again!
Do 5-leaf clovers exist?
Yes! More than 3 leaves on a clover occurs as a natural genetic variation. A clover with four leaves, a “4-leaf clover”, occurs once for every 5,000 three-leaf clovers and is associated with the symbol for good luck. A clover with 5 leaves is rarer still, but common enough that it has become another symbol entirely. Some folk traditions assign different attributes to each leaf of a clover. The first leaf represents hope, the second stands for faith, the third is for love, the fourth leaf brings luck to the finder; and a fifth leaf represents money. Our clover’s fifth leaf represents the right for everyone, regardless of their ability level, to work and earn an income.
